The University of Zagreb is ranked in the top 300 best universities in the field of tourism and hospitality

first_imgThe University of Zagreb is the only Croatian university on this year’s list, and it achieved the best result in the field of tourism and catering. Last year, no Croatian university was included in this list. The first place this year was taken by the Polytechnic University of Hong Kong, which was rated three times better than the one in Zagreb. But finding yourself on this prestigious list is certainly a good step forward towards improving education, and therefore quality, in our tourism sector. You can check the complete list, as well as the research review HERE. Namely, the ranking scale has been published every year by Shanghai Jiao Tong University since 2003. The scale is based on a number of indicators of academic and research success, such as the number of publications in prestigious scientific journals and scientific databases, and the success of full-time professors. As far as our neighbors are concerned, the Slovenian University of Ljubljana took as much as 75th place, ie it climbed by 30 places compared to 2018. The Shanghai University Ranking (ARWU) is one of the most prestigious rankings in the world. In this year’s list of the top 300 universities in the category of Management in Hospitality and Tourism, the University of Zagreb ranked 216th.
