Chelsea star WILL be on Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi’s level one day, claims former Blue

first_imgFormer Chelsea goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer believes Eden Hazard WILL be classed in the same bracket as Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi in the future. The Blues star is widely expected to be named the PFA Player of the Year, following a stellar season for Jose Mourinho’s side.Brazil legend Pele claimed earlier in the week the Belgian flyer would be able to break into Ronaldo and Messi’s bracket once he had consistently performed at the highest level. And Schwarzer, who played with Hazard during his time at Stamford Bridge, agrees that the 24-year-old is heading for greatness.“Who are we to argue with Pele? I have to agree with him,” the Leicester goalkeeper said, when asked about Hazard’s comparisons to the top two players in the world.“He’s still got some way to go but he’s a phenomenal player. This season alone the step up from last season, in term of his consistency and level of play, has been extraordinary.“If he keeps doing what he’s doing then there’s no doubt in my mind that he’ll be able to be compared with Messi and Ronaldo.”last_img read more
