Some Irish customers abroad were also affected.One holidaymaker who spoke to TheJournal.ie said that two of their Bank of Ireland debit cards were declined in a supermarket in Italy this morning.“Bank of Ireland leaving customers high and dry again as ATM and point of sale transactions are failing for some,” Sinn Féin TD Pearse Doherty said in a tweet.“Reports of Irish abroad who can’t pay hotel bills and are now in danger of missing their flights.
