American Samoa determined to beat PNG on home soil

first_imgThere are only two countries taking part in women’s softball at the Pacific Games- American Samoa and PNG.The competition will see the two countries play three games starting next week Wednesday and finishing on Friday.The best of three games will win gold with the latter to settle for silver.Speaking to PNG Loop after a training session this morning, American Samoa coach, Tuna Maae said her team was ready for next week.“Our preparations have been really good. The dirt here is different on these softball diamonds but the girls are getting used to it.“It’s always been PNG and Samoa playing for gold at the Pacific Games and PNG beat us in 2011 to win gold. But we’re determined to beat them and take gold on their home soil,” said Maae.last_img
